Frequently Asked Questions
DO YOU GO TO CULEBRA OR VIEQUES?
At this time we do not sail to Culebra, we can sometimes go to Vieques but this trip is always wind, weather and tide dependent and sometimes we have go to our regular day trip destinations instead, we have our favorite spots that allow us to stay away from the bigger Catamarans.
HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN YOU TAKE?
We have a maximum per boat of 6 passengers. For groups of up to 12 people we can take both boats and guests are free to use either boat when we are anchored at the snorkeling site but unfortunately the Coastguard regulations only allow us to have a maximum of 6 guests per boat aboard while sailing. We are happy to recommend another Company that we know that can accommodate larger parties on their Catamaran, please let us know if you would like us to pass on your information.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE US TO GET TO YOU?
We are an hour from San Juan, 20 minutes from Rio Grande, 15 minutes from The Conquistador Hotel, 35 minutes from Humacao and 2 hours from Dorado.
WILL YOU PICK US UP FROM OUR HOTEL?
We do not offer transportation from your accommodations. However there is a free gated parking at the Marina and Rental Cars usually cost about $40.00 per day. Make sure you book your car before your vacation or you run the risk of them not having any available. Private transportation companies are priced around $120.00 each way from San Juan.
FERRIES FROM CULEBRA AND VIEQUES
If you are planning on coming to us on the ferry from Culebra or Vieques please be aware the ferries are extremely unreliable even with previously booked tickets, it is preferable not to book a trip with us the same day you are taking the ferry.
If you are catching a flight or going for dinner after your sail there are hot showers available for you to use at the marina. We do have a cold fresh water shower on the main boat deck for rinsing off after snorkeling.

Our cancellation policy is such that you have until one week before the trip to cancel without penalty after which full fee would be due. Should we have to cancel at the last minute due to the weather (or other unforeseen circumstance) there is no penalty to you. We watch the weather very closely and if it isn’t safe or fun we don’t sail. We will contact you the evening before to confirm, and/or the morning of the trip if there is any doubt.
Please read the attachment on seasickness, this is a list of medications we recommend but please check with your doctor before taking any medications for any reactions or concerns you may have. If in doubt please take something, there is nothing worse than being out at sea and feeling nauseous, the boat does not have to be moving or in rough seas to feel sick but most people do very well after taking medications.
DIETARY RESTRICTIONS OR FOOD ALLERGIES
Let us know when you book your trip if you have any dietary restrictions or allergies. We can provide alternative menu items for most restrictions including vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and any food allergies.
Thank you again for your inquiry, and we look forward to sailing with you soon!
